Up to this point of Year 12 Media studies we've been watching different opening sequences to thrillers to prepare us for our main task of creating our own thriller and the subsidiary task. We watched a variety of opening sequence two of which were The Birds and Rear window produced by " The master of suspense " Alfred Hitchcock. We also watched Memento and Pacific Heights from these we were able to explore the thriller conventions and the ways in which the thriler conventions create terror for the audinece. In this point in time we are planning our storyboards for our subsidiary task which seems quite simple but at the same time extremly challenging. Doing the task helps us be familiarised with the different types of camera shots and how to edit out diffrent scenes. So far we have practiced filming three shots taken from our storyboayrds which was difficult but helped us prepare from the main task. When it came to editing it was very hard to place certian scenes in to the right place and we learnt that alot of the lighting was very dark making it very difficult for us to see what was in shot. Overall though it helped us see what we as a group will have to get right when filiming our main task .
